Supervisors assist the Board in protecting the public by ensuring that only practitioners who are suitably trained and qualified to practise psychology competently and ethically are registered. Supervisors recognise the significance of the role that they play in ensuring the ongoing safe practice of psychology in Australia (PsyBa Guidelines 2018). |
Individual Therapy Sessions
Individual sessions are aimed at exploring the predisposing, precipitating, perpetuating, and protective factors in the development of mental health symptoms, such as anxiety and depression. Only evidence-based treatment methods are used. Perinatal Mental Health is an area of focus, however, general mental health referrals are also welcome. Areas of focus may include: - anxiety - depression - perinatal OCD - c/PTSD - antenatal anxiety - antenatal depression - postnatal depression - postnatal anxiety - adjustment to parenthood for both mothers and fathers - psychological intervention/support during a time of transition/stress, such as the diagnosis of an infant or child, self, or partner |
Couples
Sessions With background training in family therapy and perinatal mental health, Dr Morgan practices from an EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) perspective. It is an evidence-based therapy that focuses on key therapist interventions to assist with change in how we relate in a partnership. These sessions are aimed at building and refining a secure attachment in the couple. |
Adult Female Autism and ADHD Sessions and Assessments
Assessments are available for adult females (over age 18). The assessments comprise approximately three extended sessions of approx 3 hours total to gather all the necessary developmental, corroborative, and current information required for diagnosis. The assessment and report are not covered by Medicare for those over the age of 25. Sessions are aimed at exploring your unique qualities and developing a plan for future scaffolding to reduce the likelihood of mental health complications, such as anxiety and depression |
